This is your source for up-to-the-minute information critical to the important choices facing every Polk County voter in 1998.

As caring citizens and taxpayers, we must stay informed in order to make informed choices. As Democrats, we must also help to steer our party, by communicating our opinions to party leaders.

The Polk Democratic Party is You:
  • As a registered Democrat, you are automatically a part of the party organization, and have a vote on party business
  • You and the voters in your neighborhood precinct are responsible for electing a committeeman and committeewoman to represent your local interests
  • Your committee persons represent you on the Polk Democratic Executive Committee (DEC)
  • As a registered Democrat, you are eligible to serve on the Executive Committee
  • Your committee persons are responsible for organizing your precinct, introducing candidates in your neighborhood, and getting out the vote on election day
  • You can influence the programs and priorities of government, by becoming active in the DEC
The Polk Democratic Party is a group of your friends, neighbors, and interested citizens, working to insure quality, responsive government for everyone
