Howdy, 2013
Hi there 2013!
Goodbye, 2012!
2012, you were a year of change. Some I would have rather not had to deal with, but lots and lots of it was for the good, so I thank you for that. I could have done with a bit less stress, but my problems truly are minor compared to billions of others on this planet. I have nothing really to complain about. I have a blessed and wonderful life. So thanks for that, 2012, and all the other years that came before you.
So, 2013, what do you have in store? I’m not into the whole resolution thing (unless 1920 x 1200 counts for anything) because I really don’t care to make promises that I’ll likely break. However, I will promise to keep my sense of wonder every day and to soak in all the amazing things around me. I will try to find overlooked beauty in the mundane, which should be easy since beauty is all around us all. I will strive to maintain an unfiltered outlook, to remain unjaded by the past, and to be in the moment. I know that’s a lot, but I’m pretty sure I’m up to the task.
You know, 2013, I’ll settle for some quiet this year, but if you want to mix it up a bit, that’s fine too. I’m simply happy to see what each day brings. I’ll write about it here.
I’m with you on the resolution for 2013, though I also have to get reading glasses as those damn tiny fonts at high resolution are like needles in my eyes
Nicely stated, happy New Year.

Last year’s resolution was actually 2560 x 1600 but my 30″ monitor died suddenly. Fortunately, after a month of calling nearly every day, Samsung refunded my money completely. I decided it was actually a little bit too large and moved down to a 24″ monitor. I got an NEC and am very disappointed with it. The size is fine, but the quality stinks. Oh well. Maybe it will die soon and I can get a good monitor. 🙂
