Thank you everyone for the birthday wishes yesterday.
I was offline for a couple of days to enjoy some mountain air with my lovely bride and was overwhelmed by the greetings and well wishes when we got back today. We were in Georgetown, CO and had a very good time, staying at our favorite place in Georgetown, the Hotel Chateau Chamonix.
Here’s the view from their parking lot this morning:
We visited three different museums yesterday. Unfortunately all three were closed for the season, so all we really got to do was press our noses up against the windows. Despite the closed museums, we got a nice walking tour of downtown Georgetown and ate extremely well. I even had a $20 plate of mac and cheese (with lots of other yummy things) that was completely worth it. It was especially worth it since I took half home and that was lunch today.
We drove a good way toward Guanella Pass as well and I grabbed this shot of Georgetown just before sunset:
I really couldn’t have asked for a better birthday (or a better wife!) and I know I can’t ask for better friends and family. Thank you all again. I look forward to my next year of growth.
